self assembly - EXHIBITION
Collaborative Project with Lucy Goodwin

The Phoebus Cartel - the first known case of planned obsolescence - existed to control the manufacture and sale of incandescent light bulbs. Since the growth of mass production, contemplative thinking and thoughtful consideration within design process has never been so important.
‘Self Assembly’ unpacks the possible outcomes of mass production and slow design, communicated through the use of light.
Using product design methodologies such as materiality and form language, the installations reference the current line of communication between designer and user.
